Shaykha Sawsan Al Mardini
Shaykha Sawsan Al Mardini is a Hafiza of the holy Quran and is originally from Syria. She has been living in the UK with her family for over 10 years.
She studied in Damascus, Syria. She is highly qualified in teaching the Quran and has several Ijaza’s in (Qira’at) from leading Shaykhs in Syria with Isnaad linking her to the Prophet Muhammad (saw). One of her teachers was the great Shaykh Muhyi-ad-Din ibn `Ali Al-Kurdi (RA).
Shaykha Sawsan has delivered many courses to train the teachers and is also currently teaching many teachers in the UK. She has also given Ijaza’s to many of her students.
She studied Quran, Arabic, Fiqh, Aqeedah, Seerah, Tafseer and Hadith in Damascus with some of the leading scholars of Syria.
Currently Shaykha Sawsan works as the Senior teacher for Al-Quran Institute in Willesden Green, London.
Shaykha Dr Shadia Osman
Shaykha Dr Shadia Osman is a Hafiza of the Holy Quran and holds Ijaza in two readings (Qira’at) of Hafs & Shoaaba from Asim, from Shaykha Mona. She has an Ijaza to teach Tajweed from the Arkam Institute in Cairo, Egypt. She has also studied the Verbal similarities of the Holy Quran, by Shaykha Ayah.
She is fluent in English as well as Arabic which is her mother tongue.
Shaykha Dr Shadia is currently working as a Doctor in a hospital in Cairo. She has volunteered in many non-profit Islamic organisations teaching the holy Quran & Tajweed.
Shaykh Mohamed Adil Yusuf
Shaykh Mohamed memorised the holy Quran at the age of 14 under the tutelage of his grand father who is a leading scholar. He is born and raised in the UK. He has received Ijaza’s from several Egyptian Shuyukh in the narration of Hafs an Asim. Amongst his teachers are Shaykh Misbaah Ibrahim Desouky (he has the highest chain of narration in the world for the 10 Qir’aat), Shaykh Mostafa Abd Al Aziz Hasan and Shaykh Sameh Al Hanafy.
He has also received an ijazah in Warsh an Naafi’ from Shaykh Mostafa. Between Shaykh Mohamed Adil and the Messenger of Allah (SAW) there are only 28 narrators through Shaykh Misbaah making it the highest attainable Ijazah for Hafs an Asim in the world.
Shaykh Mohamed Adil resides in London and works as an auditor during the week and teaches for Al-Quran Institute on Sunday’s in Willesden Green, London specialising in Hifz.
Shaykha Salsabeel Mohamed Mekawy (Al-Azhari)
Shaykha Salsabeel studied at Al-Azhar University in the faculty of languages and translation. She is also a hafiza of the Quran as well as having studied Arabic, Fiqh, Aqeedah, Seerah, Tafsir and Hadith.
She holds Ijaza in Qir’aat Hafs & Shoaaba from Asem linking her to the Prophet (SAW). She has over 5 years of experience teaching both children and ladies. Shaykh Salsabeel speaks fluent English and is much loved by all her students due to her kind and gentle nature and very structured teaching.
She currently resides in Cairo with her family and teaches online for Al-Quran Institute.
Shaykh Wasīm Farūq
Shaykh Wasīm was raised in England. He began his early Islamic Studies at the Institute of Islamic Education in West Yorkshire, where he studied Urdu, Farsi, Arabic language and literature, along with Tajweed, Fiqh, Hadith, Tafsir and other Islamic Sciences. To complete his studies he travelled to New Delhi, India, where he concluded his hadith studies and received ijazas in the major hadith books.
Subsequently he has read BA Honours in Arabic with Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at the University of Durham and holds an MA in Information Studies from University College London.
Shaykh Wasīm has been involved with Al-Quran Institute since 2011 teaching Quran, Tajweed, Fiqh, and Arabic. Currently he resides in London with his wife and works full time as a head Librarian.
Shaykh Mueen Khurshid
Shaykh Mueen began memorising the holy Quran at a young age under the guidance of his father in Stoke on Trent, UK. He completed the memorisation of the complete Quran at the age of 13. He has an ijaazah from Shaykh Dler Ali Al-Barzanji from Iraq by the way of Hafs linking him to the Prophet (SAW). He has also achieved a degree in Maths from the university of Warwick. Currently he is pursuing further studies in the science of Qiraa-aat and other Islamic disciplines.
Shaykh Mueen is based in Birmingham and teaches online for Al-Quran Institute.
Shaykh Javed Kachhalia
Shaykh Javed is Originally from Panama, Central America but migrated to the UK at the age of 12 and embarked on memorising the holy Quran. In addition to being a Hafiz of the holy Quran he also studied Arabic, Fiqh, Tajweed, Hadith, Tafsir and Aqeeda with many Ijaza’s. He also has numerous Ijaza’s in Quran linking him to the Prophet (SAW) including Warsh, Hamza and Hafs.
He has over Been teaching Quran and Hifz to children and adults for the past 12 years.
Shaykh Javed is currently serving as an Imam and teaches for Al-Quran Institute face to face in Manchester as well as online.
Shaykha Ola Eloraby
Ustadha Ola Eloraby is based in Egypt. She is a graduate of Cairo University in Business Administration. In addition she has also studied Tajweed. She holds an Ijaza in Quran linked to the Prophet Muhammad (saw). She is a specialist in correcting students in pronouncing the letters (makharij) of the Quran. Since 2006 Ustadha Ola has helped many people to master the art of Quran reading according to the Hafs recitation chain.
Hafiza Wafaa Mohammed Khalil
Hafiza Mohammed Khalil joined Al-Quran Institute in 2015. She is a Hafiza of the Quran as well as a graduate in English from the Faculty of Alson, Ain Shams University, Cairo. She is currently working as a full time translator of Arabic to English for an international company. In addition she spends her time teaching students the holy Quran online. She is also the head of Social Media at Al-Quran Institute managing a large team.
She is a very dedicated teacher who is an excellent communicator and passionate about spreading the Quran and the message of Islam globally. She resides in the town of Minya Al Qamh in Egypt with her family.
Hafiza Rawda Shalaby
Hafiza Rawda Shalaby was born in the USA. She spent a substantial amount of her life in Singapore and Egypt but is now based in Dubai. She is fluent in English as well as Arabic.
She is a Hafiza of the Quran and also a graduate from the faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University. Currently she is currently studying for a Masters in Nuclear Engineering. Moreover, Hafiza Rawda Shalaby has studied Seerah, Tajweed and Makhaarij in various Institutes throughout Egypt as well as having taught Quran in many Centres too. She has also taught ESL (English as a Second Language).
Hafiza Rawda specialises in teaching Quran to children online with the Institute. She is also the head of communications at the Institute with the overall responsibility of ensuring all our teachers are proficient in the English Language.
Ustadha Aishatu Sanusi Mohammed
Ustadha Aisha is a British National and resides in London. She completed her Quran recitation with Tajweed with Al-Quran Institute and is now part of our teaching team. Originally from Nigeria, she graduated with a BA (Hons) in International Relations from London Metropolitan University. In addition she spent more than for 3 years in Syria studying the various Islamic Sciences including, Quran, Arabic, Fiqh, Aqeedah, Hadith and Seerah.
She is fluent in English as well as Arabic. She specialises in teaching women and children.
Ustadha Aisha is very much appreciated by her students who learn from her online and in person.
